 Independence Surgery Center
When the new Independent Surgery Center opened its doors in October 2003, it was difficult to determine who was more impressed-the surgical staff or the patients. Designed from aesthetic, as well as a functional point of view, the 13,000 square foot outpatient facility is noticeably spacious with soft colored furnishings, live plants an flowers, and numerous windows in the patient and family waiting areas.
The Independent Surgery Center is located at 6701 Rockside Road, just east of I-77 in Independence, Ohio. Physician-owned and operated, the Center is affiliated with Salus Surgical Group, LLC; nationally known developers of healthcare facilities. It is licensed by the State of Ohio Department of Health Services and is Certified by Medicare and Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services.
Currently, there are 12 physicians with staff privileges of Independent Surgery Center. Their specialties include orthopaedics, spine, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, ENT, general surgery and pain management.
Independent Surgery Center is committed to providing state-of-the-art technology, not only in the surgical suites, but throughout the entire facility. The center has the best monitoring systems, such as the Pyxis drug monitoring system. It also utilizes the most current computer hardware and software to facilitate internal and external communications, including online appointment scheduling, online transcription services, electronic claims submission, patient flow monitoring and x-ray tracking.
At Independent Surgery Center, we place our patients first. They are the reason for our existence. We have only one goal, “Excellence in patient care and treatment”. One way that we achieve this is by soliciting patient input. Each patient receives a patient satisfaction survey after their visit to our facilities.
We ask important questions about their entire visit and for their input on how we can continuously improve the quality of care at Independent Surgery Center. We then take this information and apply it to our programs. We are proud to say that 100% of our patients indicated in our recent survey at Independent Surgery Center that they would choose to return to us for service and recommend our facility to their family and friends.
